  1. My favorite quote –
“You don’t have to be great to start, but you do have to start to become great.” – Zig Ziglar
If you haven’t read or listened to Better than Good, you’re missing out. I recommend the audio version.

  2. Those are great quotes. I have to admit that I’ve never read anything by him, but now wish I had and will. Thanks for sharing the quotes. I just got so burned out on all the self help guys from the old days I just went about life seeking God first, but obviously missed some of the people He put out there to help comfort and inspire…

    • Glad you liked them Floyd. I think you would enjoy his books. I hear you about the self help guys, sometimes it can be to much. Your a wise man to seek after God and not necessary only the “self help” people. Thank you for reading and sharing.

  3. My favorite Zig Ziglar quote: “You can have whatever you want in life if you help enough people get what they want.” This quote is actually the idea that I founded my career coaching on. Good stuff Dan!

  4. Dan, this is my favorite Ziglar product: http://www.ziglar.com/shop/product_info.php/cPath/22/products_id/28. I got this 19 CD set while serving overseas and it made a huge difference for me! Also, the memorial service is tomorrow at 11am (central time, I believe) and can be accessed live on internet radio (check http://www.facebook.com/zigziglar for updates). Finally, I’ll be posting a leadership profile on Zig Ziglar on Jan 7 over at NathanMagnuson.com so stay tuned :-)

  5. Ziglar is awesome. He was not only legendary in his own right but was so influential to so many giants of today, like Seth Godin. Listening to his material is even better, because he just had this humble way of presenting.

  6. “Failure is an event, not a person. Yesterday ended last night” I like this quote. I should get Zig’s books, not yet read any from Him. Better than Good seems like a good place to start. Any suggestions of books?
