“To be a successful entrepreneur one needs a vision of greatness for one’s work. If we dream extravagantly we will be inspired to forge a reality beyond the straight jacket of practicalities. Love the first quote! Think I will use it in the future. No one should “like” to hallucinate!

I love your first one by Thomas Edison. I know a lot of people with great vision, but no desire to do the hard work to make it real.

    • http://danblackonleadership.com/ Dan Black

      Jason,

Yes, hard work is required for success. I also know a lot of people who think they don’t have to work hard because of their IQ and talent. Thank you for sharing.

I really like your “quote” posts. Those are great quotes along with the other ones. I can’t think of any famous ones right off the bat, but one comes to mind that I say every year at the beginning of lacrosse season, “We’re beginning with the end in mind.” Simple, but it helps me focus on the basics…. which is what always leads to success.

      Floyd,

Great additional quote. I’m glad you enjoy the quote posts. Have a great week.

Thanks for sharing these. You have several of my favorites here. Of all of them, Proverbs is the one that resonates…it couldn’t be clearer.

    • http://danblackonleadership.com/ Dan Black

I agree with you Skip, the Proverbs one is clear and powerful. Thank you for reading and sharing.

Good quotes today – quotes are invaluable to motivate us and you picked some good ones. I pick a quote or two every week and share them on my blog too – using time tested thoughts to help others is a great thing. Keep up the great work!

Vision is a picture of tomorrow that produces passion today. This is my remix of a Bill Hybels quote from the book Couragous Leadership.

    • http://danblackonleadership.com/ Dan Black

Great additional definition of vision. I really like Bill Hybel’s and his books. Thanks for stopping by to read and share.

I have to say that the Abraham Lincoln quote is my favorite – after the Proverbs one, that is. I kinda have to say that the Bible’s tops there :)

      Loren,

Both are great! Thank you for reading them.
