Being able to talk with someone might be simple but it’s a relationship skill we all must have. Leader’s especially need to be able to effectively talk with other people. No matter if it’s with family, friends, Co-workers, bosses, or a complete stranger; you need to be able to effectively communicate with them. Here are a few skills you can apply the next time you talk with someone,
Remember their names.
Have eye contact.
Positive comments. Keep your eyes open for things that you can appropriately comment about. Like someone’s shoes, outfit, sunglasses, jewelry, etc.
Focus the conversation toward them. Find and talk about their passions and dreams.
Introduce them to others.
In a group make sure everyone gets a chance to talk. Don’t leave anyone out of the discussion, this might happen if someone is new within a group of friends or co-workers.
