Christian Leader’s Having Godly Wisdom

The best type of wisdom Christian leader’s can have is wisdom from above. Having this type of wisdom is key to the success of a leader. It does not matter if you’re a church or business leader, having Godly wisdom is a must. Two types of wisdom we can have are worldly and Godly wisdom. But as Christian leader’s we should focus on gaining and having Godly wisdom more than worldly wisdom. The difference between these two are clear,

Godly wisdom is lasting while worldly wisdom fades away.

Godly wisdom is reasonable while worldly wisdom is self-centered.

Godly wisdom is pure while worldly wisdom is corrupt.

Godly wisdom results in peace while worldly wisdom results in disharmony.

The book of James has a clear picture of the what worldly and Godly wisdom look like:

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. ~James 3:13-18 NKJV

The best Christian leader’s lead with Godly wisdom. This is why it’s crucial for us to gain and have it. Here are some simple ways to gain Godly wisdom:

  • Spend time praying for wisdom.
  • Ask others to pray that you will gain and have Godly wisdom.
  • Spend time reading about wisdom in the Bible.
  • Spend time thinking about Godly wisdom.
  • Spend time around people who have Godly wisdom.

If you desire to gain more wisdom then apply the above points into your daily routine. Choose to have Godly wisdom more than worldly wisdom.

    Godly wisdom is what I seek also. I could care less about worldly wisdom. I want to continue to Lead through wisdom found in the Bible, its Leaders, Teachers, and true vision from God. I know we try to infuse our own standards into things but the wisdom of God is where we should be leading.
