About
My professional experience has been working with youth and young adults. I have been a drug and alcohol rehab Case Worker and also a Behavior Specialist for foster kids. I have an Associate’s in Theology and a Bachelor’s in Human Development.
My personal experience has been as a volunteer youth leader for over 5 years and I currently serve the young adults group at my church. While working with youth I have lead small groups, preached, mentored, lead teams of volunteers, and counseled youth.
When I was 19 years old a friend and myself where driving from Portland Oregon to Seattle Washington which is about a 3 hour trip. During the trip my friend started to listen to a John C. Maxwell leadership lesson while driving. Looking back now this is what ignited my passion for leadership. Over the next several years I learned everything I could on the topic of leadership while moving into a volunteer leadership role at my local church.
Since then I have moved to San Diego California with my wife so we could be closer to family. While living in San Diego my wife and I had our first child, connected with a great church, and I’m still learning everything I can on the topic of leadership. If you live or plan to take a trip to San Diego make sure to let me know so we can connect.
I have always wanted to help other people and over the last several years I have discovered I want to help others grow as leaders. I have a passion to help others find, develop, and use their strengths and talents so they can maximize their leadership ability.
I typically post 3-5 times a week on the topic of leadership, personal development, strengths, and success. I have a balance of faith based and secular posts and I believe this blog will help you reach your leadership potential. My desire is to help you move to the next level by helping you become a better leader.
